Supported Exercises
CleanerReps currently analyzes four barbell lifts. Each one has its own checklist that Claude's vision model is instructed to look for - not a generic "does this look okay" pass.
Back Squat
squat
- Depth - hip crease dropping below the top of the knee at the bottom
- Knee tracking - watching for valgus (knee cave-in) over toes
- Bar path staying over mid-foot
- Chest/torso angle staying upright through the ascent
- Heel contact with the floor throughout the rep
Deadlift
deadlift
- Neutral spine - no rounding, especially in the lower back
- Bar staying close to the shins/legs throughout the pull
- Hips rising at the same rate as the shoulders off the floor (not shooting up first)
- Full lockout with hips and knees extended together
- Controlled bar path on the way back down
Bench Press
bench_press
- Consistent bar path - not drifting toward the neck or stomach
- Elbow angle relative to torso, roughly 45-75 degrees rather than flared to 90
- Full range of motion - bar touching or near the chest
- Stable shoulder position, no excessive shoulder roll
- Controlled leg drive/back arch without the hips lifting off the bench
Overhead Press
overhead_press
- Bar path staying close to the face on the way up
- Full lockout overhead with the bar over mid-foot/shoulder
- Avoiding excessive lower-back arch (leaning back to press)
- Core/glute bracing throughout
- Controlled descent
That's the full list for now - squat, deadlift, bench press, and overhead press. See how the analysis actually works (it's upload-based, not a live camera feed) before you try it.
